Inside Out – Not much to say about this episode so I’ll just mention the parts I liked – Julie Benz’s return as Darla, the way she tried to talk Connor out of hurting the girl but couldn’t tell him why, ‘action-figure’ Wesley shooting Skip in the head and the introduction to the stunning Gina Torres.

Shiny Happy People – This ep marks another arc that season 4 has gone through. Most of the mini-arcs have worked for me but as a whole they have their flaws. The start of this one also works well. I love the introduction to Jasmine as we see the gang and then people in the city just falling under her spell. Wes took a bit more convincing than the others. I kinda loved the Gunn & Wes conversation about what to name Jasmine. It feels like it’s been seasons since these two hung out and got along. Fred on the hand regressed back to obsessive ways like when she first returned from Pylea with the cleaning of the shirt. Couldn’t help but giggle at Fred crying over having buying Jasmine a new shirt. Props to the visual effects team for the gross-ness that is the CGI of Jasmine’s true face. Interesting turn that they choose Fred to be the one to figure it out and isolate her away from the gang since, with the exception of comatose Cordy, she’s arguably the weakest of the gang. Gotta say I felt for her when she was at the Diner all alone. Breakfast TV – that’s the way to get the message out to the people!
